Oak Brothers curved glass was started about twenty-six years ago as
an outgrowth of a furniture restoration business. I taught myself to
bend glass because I was tired of buying curved glass from larger
companies that was of poor quality or with a radius that was
irregular.
My business is small and run by myself with my wife
helping out with the billing. Since I am a small craftsman I am able to be
personally involved with my customers from the beginning to the end
of the project. When the customer is happy then I am happy. I
personally guarantee satisfaction or your money back.
I
have sent my glass to wholesale and retail customers all over the
U.S.. I regularly bend glass for Tiffany-style lamp shades, oval
picture frames, and antique and modern china/curio cabinets. I
custom bend glass for a specialty lighting company. I also bent the
glass lenses for the Book-camera Project at the Bill Gates home.
Some of my other major projects have included bending glass for
Victorian house windows, bending all of the ceiling lights for the
Rialto Theater restoration, and supplying bent glass panels for the
historic Wrights Park greenhouse in Tacoma.
I have perfected a technique for getting that old time, wavy/distorted look in bent glass. We charge an additional $30.00 per piece of curved glass for the wavy glass effect. We also sell the flat wavy glass by the square foot. What ever your needs, I will work with you to ensure that you get exactly the bent glass product that you need for your project or restoration.
